About Us
Over twenty years ago a group of dear friends were running; when Miss Cindy one of the runners came up with an idea that she would like to work with children; she was working for Human Resources in the Corporate World, she has three wonderful children and six grandchildren and she had worked with children in different organizations in the community. The idea grew and grew to the point where she joyfully quit her job in the Corporate World and started a Family Daycare; Kidz-R-Brite. Her love and respect of children and her past community experiences working with children was the perfect recipe for opening up a family daycare.
As there was such a great need for high quality care for children in Ladysmith the family daycare grew experientially; with the support of her dear husband Andre. They both worked long hours to build a place where all children are respected and treated equally; and especially a place where the parents are welcomed with open arms. Her philosophy; “all families are welcomed and treated like her own family”.
The next stage of the growth is when the couple expanded into a small group daycare and preschool of 8. Throughout the expansion of the center Miss Cindy enhanced her qualifications and received her ECE to fulfill the licensing requirements to open a group daycare and preschool of 16.
The need continued in Ladysmith for high quality childcare and preschool; so the couple opened a second center in January 2011 in the Diamond Community called Kidz-R-Brite At The Farm.
As of September of 2022, we have made the decision to close the Stillin location and focus solely at the farm. Miss Cindy is stepping back a little and Her daughter Jaclyn has taken over of running the program. We are excited to see what the future brings and what the next adventures will be.
All the staff and owners with all their unique qualifications as a team have worked hard and long hours to make these two schools a safe learning environment for children. The two school settings are both a serene, beautiful and positive atmosphere for children to learn, grow and expand their talents and abilities. As the need arises for high quality care for young children both the owners and staff of Kidz-R-Brite are dedicated to fulfill that need in the community of Ladysmith and outlying communities.
